Do you have a favorite animal? Have you seen an animal + swear you feel the energy of someone who has passed?  Or maybe an animal just reminds you of something about yourself.  Knowing your Spirit Animals is just one fun way to be connected to your Higher Self + those of the Spirit realm.

When I first discovered + connected to my Spirit animals in meditation, I soon started to see them pop up all around me.  After seeing 2 or 4 of them the thought finally occurred to me,
“Ok, there is something someone wants me to know.”
Maybe I just love animals. Have since I was a kid, I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian until I walked through the medical facility at Texas A&M veterinary clinic and couldn’t handle the energy and sadness. In studying my human design I realized my gate 19 sensitivity (that I have 3 times in my chart) also gives me the ability to communicate and connect with animals, mammals specifically. This gate can also influence your connection with animals in such a way that you might become vegetarian because of their treatment or miss treatment. Makes me wonder if any of the people who belong to PETA have the 19 gate. Hmmm…

Anyway, for the longest time, I felt like I was only connected to one spirit animal, my wolf.  He always reminds me to take a deep breath + connect with my heart.

Connecting with my spirit animals and how they resonate with different chakras came to me when I was first getting into the spiritual practice and discovery of being me. I was curious hungry about what made me tick. I was studying the chakra system and someone asked me what my spirit animal was and the first thing that popped into my head was a wolf clear as day. Later that year I went to a metaphysical conference and met Steven Farmer. He was there with his wife at the time, Doreen Virtue,  who had been one of my first mentors in all things intuition.  In his class, he looked directly at Me + asked if I brought in all the cats. And I knew immediately that it was me. But I distinctly remember my totem animal being a wolf so where did the cats come from?

He went on to explain that we can actually have an animal that represents each of our chakras. And then a chakra meditation I asked to be shown the animal that resonates with each of the chakras. I was amazed to find my wolf as my heart chakra. My cats were my third chakra or my solar plexus.

So if you would like to know what animals resonate with your chakras I would start with a simple chakra meditation maybe even one of the opening processes to awaken each chakra.

Then ask each chakra what animal best represents that energy. You’ll be amazed at what pops up. Now that I know when I see a wolf-like dog that there is something my heart needs to tell me. Or when my cats come up in my sphere there is something I need to Pay attention to with my personal power + emotions.

Oh, and Your spirit animal doesn’t have to be necessarily a mammal. It could be a bird, an insect, a snake, even a reptile of some kind. There are many many options. One of my girlfriends told me her mother came to her in the sign of a hummingbird. Anything is possible. You just have to pay attention. What is your favorite animal? Do tell!
