What is your year cycle number?Happy January!
The kids are finally back in school, and I find myself sitting with the new energy of 2020, thinking about what I want to see happen in my life this next year. Hmmmm.
I do love January because it feels like anything is possible for the new year ahead. To start getting clear on how to co-create what I want for the year, I make a list of what I would love to see, feel, and experience in my business and every day life. Trips I want to take, things I want to experience with my kids, how i want to make our lives better. A purpose for my business for the year. Usually a single word to stay focused + on track.
This year for me it’s Alignment
For many of us this is the time we decide on what we want to create, learn, + do in the year ahead.  Believe me, for the longest time I’ve had a bunch of rituals around new year. Vision boards, reading my astrology for the year, setting intentions, planning trips, building out social calendars and really planning my year before anything really gets started.
But I feel pulled to do things differently this year and NOT plan, make intentions, or set crazy goals.
Don’t get me wrong, some rituals I still feel pulled to do, like read what life cycle year I’m in and review the past year.  I like that it tells me what kind of energy my year will have and what to expect on a brand scale because it’s all about divine timing and being in the right place at the right time.
Alignment is what we all hoping to achieve, right? But we have to really pay attention and use our intuition as our guidance system to find that flow + allow ourselves to follow along. And let me tell you, alignment is so much easier than swimming upstream.
One huge thing I learned Last year was no matter what you plan, universe usually has another way of doing things, so it’s best to be flexible or things will get even more challenging quick.
1 YearYou see, last year was a “1” year for me, all about innovation and change. Oh, I had plans!
Well, so did Spirit, and they weren’t the same as mine, exactly.
So, I started off January last year ready to hit the ground running only to break my knee at the end of January, slowing me down to a snails pace. Total change of plans in an instant. Not fun. I was thinking “what the heck? I have so much I want to do this year!”
But it was my “1” year, a year for change.  Slowing me down got rid of a lot of distractions and made me take care of myself on all levels whether I wanted to or not.  I completely revamped my business structure and offerings, got clearer on my message, and honed my business approach.  By September felt like I had birthed another business. I had to let go of things that I just didn’t have the energy to do, and got really clear on my priorities. Looking back, I did change a lot inside+ outside. Just not as I had planned.
So, what year are you in?
When finding what yearly cycle you’re in, it’s actually simple math. In numerology it’s your birthday + month + current year or 2020. You add it up to be one number like this:
7/9/2020 looks like 7+9+2+0+2+0=20=2+0=2
2 yearSo, this years approach will be a bit of an adjustment for me. It’s my “2” year, which is all about patience and timing.  Timing usually isn’t a problem for me if I’m trusting my intuition and acting on it, but it takes conscious effort. Patience is usually more challenging for me, but I feel it’s more about allowing things to show up in their own time than me pushing to get something done or make it happen.
I also read the cycle year for the planet, it cuts down on the surprises that pop up in the world and help me wrap my mind around what’s going on to some degree.
Another thing to keep in mind is that we are also on this planet with others, so knowing what’s coming down the pike on a larger scale can help you make more align choices as well. Not saying anything should over ride your instincts or intuition, but that level of awareness can make some choices make more sense.
In numerology, It’s a 4 year for the planet. How do I know?  Add 2020 together to get 4.
2+0+2+0=4
What does it mean? Per Christine DeLorey of creativenumerology.com
“The 4 Year Cycle is one of vision, management, priority,  limitation, restriction, determination, effort, and breakthrough. Your sense of identity – who you are and what you believe – is the principle theme. The events of this practical year will leave you in no doubt that the time has come to set new priorities and strive toward a specific long-term goal.
4 is the number of organization and work; how things work, making things work, and working towards something that means a lot to you.”
So, basically you need to know what you want and avoid what you don’t want. To do that, you need to know who you are and how you work to make it happen or co-create it with Spirit.
What do I wish for you?
To be in alignment as much as possible and when you’re not, be aware that you’re not and know the steps to get back into alignment before you make those decisions.
Exciting stuff!
