Did you know there are alternatives to traditional birthstones?!
Aries, and you know who you are, either favor March’s stone of Aquamarine or covet April’s stone of the month which is a Diamond. But there are alternatives! Aries also resonate with the bloodstone, which is a hunter green with red iron ore accented throughout. Great stone! It is wonderful for grounding your heart, keeping you lovingly present, and connecting with yout intuitive nature through your heart instead of you head.
Now mind you, if you are partial to them I have nothing against Diamonds (unless they were mined illegally). They are the hardest stone we wear currently, and have amazing benefits like not taking on any energy, so they don’t have the be cleared. They are also known as the stone of innocence and were traditionally given to loved ones as a stone to insure love and harmony. That is one reason we were them in our wedding bands. Also, they can dispel anger. Pretty powerful stone to wear! But, what do we do when a diamond is not in the budget? What are the alternatives? Well, I’m here to shed some light on the subject.
There are a few different ways to go about this. First, there are other stones that really resonate with this birthday month other than the traditional stones. They are called Modern and Mystical Birthstones. The modern alternative for April is still the diamond, but the Mystical option is the Opal. If you wanted to sort birthstones astrologically, you would take a look at their sign. For instance, my sister is a Taurus as her Sun sign which means she also has the options of Sapphire, Amber, Coral, Emerald, Rose Quartz, or Turquoise even. Think about the person you are buying this stone for, and see what comes to you as the perfect fit. It is amazing how the connection to the person will show us what will thrill them the most.
